Music Distribution

Distribution throughout the music industry has rapidly changed and developed during the last decade. With the demand for LP records being outshined by the revolution of CDs in the early 1990's to the dominance of the internet in the digital age. The internet is the most valuable tool in modern day music distribution, with artists and record labels offering free advanced downloads of singles and even albums in their entirety. Artists such as 'Radiohead' have helped pioneer the digital revolution when they released their latest album 'In Rainbows' exclusively for download a week before the physical copy launch. With the use of the web, artists can distribute their music to an infinite audience through an instant median.
